A Strange Flower 1
A Strange Flower 1 - by Claire Ishino.
For an exhibition in Adelaide that the artist Claire Ishino was involved in, she was given a Haiku poem by Matsuo Basho as a starting point for her piece and each work was to be presented in some way on the same size canvas.

She chose her Haiku poem because she loved the first line, 'A strange flower', which she knew she would be able to work from. Claire says she finds strange and unusual things interesting and likes the idea that these birds and butterflies were attracted to these strange flowers. There are 3 pieces in this series which look gorgeous as a set. This listing is for the print 'A Strange Flower for Butterflies and Birds The Autumn Sky - 1'.

This print is part of a limited edition of 50 and is an archival reproduction of the artist's original painting printed on Hahnemuhle Bamboo paper.

The image is 15 x 15cms printed on A4 and comes unframed, but does fit an 8 x 8 inch square frame, or an A4 or 10 x 8 inch frame, with the mat cut.
