ABOUT THE ARTWORK:
The Bald Eagle, a symbol of strength and freedom, is one of the most recognized birds in the world. Known for its majestic wingspan of over 2 metres, it soars at heights of up to 10,000 metres. In many cultures, the bald eagle represents vision, resilience, and independence.
As a spirit animal, it embodies courage, clarity, and a higher perspective, encouraging those who connect with it to rise above the tough challenges you’ve faced and see life from a new vantage point.
This artwork is a creation by Australian artist Carlie Edwards. Each piece begins with watercolors, capturing the light and movement of the subject, before carefully adding intricate details using colored pencils.
This layered approach brings the animals to life, with every feather, strand of fur, flower and leaf meticulously drawn. Some artworks can take up to 50 hours to complete, showcasing a dedication to creating works that resonate with depth and emotion. Carlie’s connection to the natural world, especially the wildlife she has encountered, flows through each stroke, making her pieces both heartfelt and inspiring.
