Choose Arts by Qing Zhang
From a young age Qing dabbled with and soon fell in love with painting. Despite feeling drawn to visual arts, she started down a career pathway in the corporate world. As she continued honing her craft in her spare time, Qing realised that art, specifically watercolour, was her calling and the pull was too strong to ignore. She has since left the corporate world behind, and paints full-time.
In 2018 Qing decided to bring life to her designs through Melbourne-based business Choose Arts, selling at design markets and also offering products online. Her artwork adapts easily from canvas onto products that can be enjoyed throughout the home or as stylish gifts, such as prints, tea towels and greeting cards. She also accepts requests for commissioned pieces, bespoke orders and commercial work. Qing’s current fascination is with birds, but is open to any subject and has painted commissions of loved ones’ portraits, cherished pets and landscapes.
