Porcelain dessert plate with beautiful lace imprint. A gorgeous finishing touch to any cake, sweets or dessert.
Each piece is entirely made by hand by pressing a vintage lace doily into the clay whilst wet, leaving the detailed imprint of the lace behind. The faceted rim adds an elegant touch to this timeless heirloom piece.
Hand-brushed with a non-toxic, food-safe white gloss glaze. The base of the platter is unglazed and polished smooth after firing, creating a vitrified stone-like surface with a tactile feel.
The Vintage Lace collection is inspired by the forgotten lace doily. Vintage doilies collected over time are impressed into the clay, incorporating them into modern, decorative and functional pieces and highlighting the beauty of their intricate patterns and texture.

Kim Wallace Rugged Earth Collection features layered finishes, consisting of several hand-brushed glazes that react in the kiln together to create the beautiful colours. Colours, glaze variations and darkness on the rims may vary from the photos shown ~ part of the beauty of these glazes.

Care Instructions
All Kim Wallace Ceramics are made using Australian, non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes.
All ceramics are fired to very high temperatures, making them very strong and durable. All pieces ~ with the exception of gold lustre decorations ~ are dishwasher & oven safe. Take care to avoid sudden temperature changes (for example from the oven to a cold benchtop) as this is likely to cause thermal shock which can result in the piece cracking.
